Earn the pastors trust
You need to have the pastor on your side before you can sell to the church. These free reprints will help you gain credibility.

It takes time to establish a trusting relationship with churches as you moved toward the goal of becoming a Church Communications Consultant. To help you do that, as I shared in an earlier post, I’ve put a new “PRINT” command on the articles on the Effective Church Communications (www.effectivechurchcom.com) website that will enable you to print off with the click of a mouse a PDF of the article for you to give away or attach in an email to give to churches.

But I realize that often in your busy schedule you don’t have time to do that, so I have links below to PDFs that are already done for you. Just click on the title and the PDF will download for you. I’ve also included a few comments about each article and who might be most interested in it and how you might use it.

Below are the articles mentioned in the PODCAST:

This is a good devotion to give to pastors and other leaders in a church communication ministry:
Devotion #1: The Reality of our situation—challenging spiritual warfare

This is a great encouraging devotion to give to church secretaries and others doing the hard work of church communications:
Devotion #8: You are the Great Ones and far more important than you realize

This is a good article to give to churches that are struggling with large numbers on their roles, but fewer people showing up on Sundays–in other words, most churches:
3,000 on your membership list, 350 in church, it may be a problem with internal marketing

Here are two articles to show that you are concerned about all the communication channels in a church:
Multi-Channel Communications advice from the publisher of USA TODAY
Essential website and social media house-keeping for fall

This is a more in-depth, strategic article that pastors will appreciate:
Foundation of The Five Steps–Disciple-making

PDF to Share with Churches on Website success
Sharing a PDF like this is a genuine help for churches and shows you care about their entire communications program.

In my continuing goal to help make all of you trusted Church Communications Consultants, one very important part of that is to give you materials to share with your churches on all aspects of Church Communications, not just how you can create cheaper copies for them (which the salesman who comes after you will try to do also).

For you to stand out and become that trusted consultant, it helps to share with churches materials that will help them be successful in ALL aspects of their communications ministry.

I just finished an overview article on 10 Essentials to Prepare Your Church Website for Easter. This article has lots of helpful and strategic information for churches and they will be very grateful to you for sharing it.

CLICK HERE or on the image to download the PDF. You can create a cover page if you want to print it off and take it around to your churches, or email them with this PDF attached.

If there are specific topics churches have asked you about and that you’d like to see a PDF on, let me know at yvon@effectivechurchcom.com.

Social Media for Churches PDF for you to share with your church clients

August 3, 2017 by selltochurches Leave a Comment

MinTech article on Social Media
If a social media ministry is a challenge for your church, check out this article for ways to make it manageable.

Ministry Tech Magazine just published my article on Social Media for Churches and I wanted to pass on the PDF to you, CLICK HERE or on the image to download it. One of the most valuable things about this article is the advice by Holly Veturis from Saddleback Church on putting together a team of people (advocates, she calls them) to be the primary creators of your church social media.

I heard her talk about this at the Saddleback MarCom Church Communicator’s conference this summer and just loved the idea. It seemed to me that it is a fantastic modern-day example of how the Body of Christ can work together. No one in the church office has time to do all the print and website work required, PLUS all the social media that is a vital part of any church communication program today.

At the same time there are people in every church who just LOVE to be on social media. They are good at it and enthusiastic in what they share. Rather than trying to add additional burdens to the people in the church office (unless they happen to be the kind who spend every break and lunch on social media), consider following her advice and putting together a social media team.

This is a great handout to download and pass on to churches–it shows you care about the entire church communications process, not just print and helps establish you as a trusted church communications consultant.
