Halloween is great fun and a candy dream for most kids, but for kids with allergies, it can be a nightmare. Some children’s allergies are so severe they can’t even touch candy wrappers and going from house to house with an empty bag is definitely no fun.
Years ago, a mom whose son had severe allergies came up with the idea of promoting Halloween in an alternative, non-candy way. It has exploded in popularity with many stores and websites now promoting the teal pumpkins and alternative little toys and give-aways for children.
This is also an opportunity for you to serve your community and share your print samples!
The website www.tealpumpkinproject.org has lots of great resources, but at this page are a number of publications, flyers, posters, signs, stickers, that you could offer to personalize and print for churches and businesses. Below are thumbnails of them. Here is a collection of one-color images:
Though most of the items are one color (it is the TEAL Pumpkin Project), here is a fun, full-color one, (the resolution of the download is good):
For this project it isn’t so much about showing off your capabilities in printing, but about a great way to share an important service to your community.
Churches and businesses will remember what you did and welcome a sales call more kindly.
